1. All about the details

A professional photographer will be able to assess each room and identify little details that could distract or enhance each image. For example she could notice a cat food bowl that needs to be moved whilst the photo shoot is taking place in the kitchen or a hair brush that needs to be removed from the bathroom. They may plump cushions in the living room or adjust the bedding in the bedrooms to optimize each image they create for you.

2. Understanding light

A major part of the role of a photographer is understanding how natural and artificial light effects the subjects they are photographing. A professional property photographer understands how to sunlight streaming through the bedroom window to enhance the beauty of a room. They will also know how to encapsulate and frame a beautiful view through a bedroom window whilst still photographing the room itself.

3. Wider variety of creative images

In order to create a good portfolio of photos to promote your property, you need to have a variety of creative images, not simply a wide-angle shot taken from each doorway of every room. A good property photographer will take her time going around each room to carefully plan the photoshoot in her head. She may see an opportunity for a creative shot from the garden gate across the garden or a creative image of the etched detail on your interior doors. Her eyes are trained to capture details that enhance each image she produces.

4. Ambience

The professional photographer will work with you to create the right atmosphere for your property. They may create bright and fresh images if your property has a modern, crisp interior and lots of natural light. Alternatively if you have a more traditional farmhouse style property they may suggest lighting a fire in a fireplace to create a warm inviting space and they may pay extra attention to capturing any period features within your property. They may also turn on extra lamps to brighten any dark corners in the rooms.

5. Professional Finish

Once the photoshoot is complete a professional photographer may take double the amount of time it took to do the photoshoot, to edit the images they have taken, to provide you will an exceptional finished result. Levels, exposure, saturation, white balance, sharpness, and much more all have to be considered when editing each image. Once this process is completed you will have a range of images that showcase your property in all its glory and maximise the potential for sales.
